Trains run every hour between Cambridge - Foxton - Royston - London all day, 7 days a week, and this is increased to every 30 minutes in the morning & evening peaks. You can buy tickets from the machine on platform one for travel, as well as in advance from Cambridge station or online.
Standard adult fares to Cambridge are £3.40 for a single ticket and £3.50 for a day return. For children aged 5-15 the fares are £1.70 single and £1.75 return. If you have a railcard the fares are £2.25 single, £2.30 return (only available off-peak). Children aged under 5 travel free with a fare paying passenger.
You can get a season ticket for any journey from Foxton, from one week to one year. Prices between Foxton-Cambridge are £17 for one week. To hold a valid season ticket you'll need to get a photo card - available free from any manned railway station including Cambridge. Just ask at the info desk.
Foxton station also benefits from live departure boards - these give an up-to-the-minute expected arrival time for trains in both directions, as well as any special announcements.
All trains are non-smoking.
Bicycles are welcome on all trains with no extra charge, with only these exceptions:
